Spotlight Song: I Am

VIEW SCREENCAPS // VIDEO CREDIT // LYRICS

Our first Spotlight is a song I’m rather attached to: I Am, from Dope’s 2003 release Group Therapy. For those not familiar with this song, I Am is the fuck you anthem you didn’t know you needed until now. You might recognize a blast from the past in this video: Mistress Juliya, aka Juliya Chernetsky makes an appearance. Quite the hot ticket in the early 00s, Juliya was basically everywhere on the metal scene back then. Couldn’t escape that girl.

Please enjoy the video, and as always if you like what you see why not subscribe to Dope’s official Youtube channel? You’ll have access to just about their entire catalogue there. They’re sitting at about 116K subs and even though that makes them eligible for a silver Creator Award, we all know we can do better than that. So get to it.

Flashback Sunday: Leafpile.tv Teaser

For your Flashback Sunday this week, we have an interview teaser featuring Edsel Dope on Leafpile.tv. Sadly the full interview seems to be lost, as the link provided takes you to a 404. Still, it’s a pretty interesting flashback and well worth watching!

Gallery Updates!

EDF Photo is 300+ photos strong! I set out to make EDF.org your #1 source for all things Edsel Dope, and honestly I have to say I think we’re crushing it.

Within the next few days, we are going to have the following:

  • A new Flashback Sunday, which will be every other week and highlight something notable or interesting about Edsel (maybe an interview, maybe a pic, who knows?)
  • A Video Spotlight, which I think will also be every other week, highlighting not only Edsel’s work with Dope but any work he’s featured in. (Makeshift Romeo, Drama Club…)

And of course, we’re still looking forward to Dope joining Static-X on the Machine Killer tour later this year! Amazing stuff in the pipeline, for sure.

Flashback Sunday: Metal Hammer Golden Gods 2014

VIEW SCREENCAPS

In this first ever Flashback Sunday, we’re going all the way back to 2014 and this very cheeky Golden Gods black carpet interview with Edsel and Nikk. There’s 61 caps from this interview in EDF Photo, so check ’em out when you get a chance.

A tiny update

Hello hello! I’ve been a bit busy so I’ve not been posting updates as much as I could be. But now my schedule has cleared up a lot, so expect a LOT more of me. My biggest news is I’m attending the Machine Killer Tour in Atlanta, so to say I’m hyped is a bit of an understatement. I’ve been a massive fan of both Static-X and Dope for years, so to see them live and on the same bill is a dream.

Back to Edsel, came across this blast from the past completely by accident. I was browsing Youtube and saw this panel discussion from 2010 featuring the man himself. It’s called “Turning Sport Music into a New Revenue Stream”. It’s an interesting piece for sure. I admit, I’ve personally not thought too much about the music featured at sports events so it was enlightening to hear about that side of things. Give it a watch!

All credit for this goes to MIDƐM+, I do not own this video. Please check out their channel if you’re interested in learning more about them!

New Youtube Short: Machine Killer Tour

I’m just comin’ at you with updates today. Earlier we were greeted with the news that Dope’s joining Static-X and Sevendust on the Machine Killer North American Tour, and now we have a new short on Youtube from Dope’s official account publicizing this tour. (This is actually the first short they’ve posted, hopefully this is the first of many? We’ll see!)

Check out the short here, and to visit Dope’s Youtube page click here. If you haven’t already, be sure to subscribe and ring the bell so that you get ALL post notifications!

Tour News: A surprise, to be sure…

But a welcome one! The Machine Killer North American tour is coming, and you better believe we are stoked.

Dope is touring with the almighty Static-X once again in the fall, and joining them for this go-round is Sevendust! Not the headlining tour we were expecting, but with this lineup I think it’s going to be pretty fucking rad.

For complete details, check out Dope’s official site.

Dope tour news on the horizon…?

Dope has announced they have big tour news coming up! Do you want to know what’s up? Of course you do! Sign up for their newsletter on Dope’s official site and you’ll know when it drops!

Personally, I’m hoping for a headlining tour. *crosses fingers*

Gallery Update: Dope “Blood Money”

VIEW SCREENCAPS VIEW VIDEO

I’m back with another gallery update! This one is adding to the already existing gallery for “Blood Money”. As of this writing, we have a robust 226 photos in EDF Photo, making us well on the way to becoming the premiere source for Edsel Dope media. Anyone who’s been a fan of this man for any amount of time knows what a bitch it is to find reliable media and info on Edsel, so we’re happy to oblige!

Be sure to click the link above to view the video for Blood Money on Dope’s official Youtube channel!

New Layout

Back with a new layout – this one I think I will stick with for awhile. (nb4 I design something else in like a week…)

I’ve been working on a few other things for the site – EDF Photo is getting a revamp as well. (Plus some more additions!) There’s a couple of other things in the pipeline too, so stay tuned.
