A small, boring update for you – site stuff. I know, I know. I’ll be quick.
SITE UPDATES
- I ended up doing a small site cleanup. You might notice that we’re running a LOT faster now! I did ditch a few things to improve our security and performance, so you might notice a couple of superficial aesthetic changes.
- Mobile users – your experience should be identical to desktop for the most part.
- Edited several pages for clarity and aesthetics.
- Clarified my contact info: I am always reachable by DM on Instagram, and via email: cristina[at]undevoted.org. I am pretty responsive with both. While I do have a Facebook, I do not check it often. (It’s essentially just a mirror for my Instagram) Replies there will be slow, if at all. Definitely opt for email or DM if you need to get in touch with me.
- Clarified my stance on contributions: Yes, absolutely you can contribute your concert photos or stories about meeting Edsel! However, I will not accept anything that would be considered invasive of his privacy (including but not limited to: gossip or candids, aka photos where he wasn’t aware his picture was being taken).
EDF NETWORK
As I mentioned before, I had an unexpected loss of service last month. Worked it out, but I needed to load a backup from May. Which meant I lost all the members in my fanlistings and basically now have to start from nothing. Annoying, but not the end of the world. It also meant that I needed to essentially build my fanlistings from the ground up from scratch, which again … annoying, but not a huge deal.
Instead of cluttering up the main site, I’ve moved the central hub for sites in the EDF.org network to: EDF Network. This is where you can access all the websites and fanlistings hosted on this domain. As you can probably guess … they’re all related to Dope and Static-X. I know, right? Who would have thought?
Your question might be: Cristina, what the hell is a fanlisting, and why would I want to join? A fanlisting is just a list of fans of a particular subject. It’s a throwback to a simpler time on the net. People would join and display buttons of all the stuff they’re a fan of. Cool way to get to know someone, in my opinion! Of course, a website is not required – it IS a listing of fans after all, and there’s no requirement for that other than simply loving the subject.
If you were a member before, please feel free to join again. And if you haven’t join yet, why not check us out and join the listings?
